Jr. Network Support Engineer

Job Description

This role supports senior engineers in deploying and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, surveillance backhaul, and enterprise connectivity solutions across client sites.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Assist in network device installation and cabling activities.
• Configure switches, routers, and wireless access points under supervision.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for connectivity and performance issues.
• Support site surveys and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware delivery and RMA processes.
• Maintain spare parts and tool inventory at project sites.
• Follow safety and quality standards during field work.
• Update network diagrams and asset records.
• Provide on-call support when required.
• Escalate complex issues to senior network engineers.

Education and Work Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Telecommunications.
• 0-2 years of experience in network support or IT helpdesk roles.

Education, Work Experience & Skills Required

• Basic understanding of networking concepts and IP addressing.
• Familiarity with Cisco, MikroTik, or similar vendor equipment.
• Ability to use cable testers, crimping tools, and basic diagnostic utilities.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in Karachi and surrounding areas.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• CCNA or N+ certification is an advantage.
• Responsible attitude toward deadlines and client satisfaction.
• Valid motorcycle/driving license preferred.
